COMP Cams® Hosts 2011 AMSOIL Mopar Muscle Engine Challenge

Memphis, TN - COMP Cams® is once again proud to host the AMSOIL Mopar Muscle Engine Challenge.

The seventh annual Mopar Muscle Engine Challenge is scheduled for September 19th - 22nd at the COMP Cams® Research and Development facility in Memphis, TN. Each year, a specific Chrysler block/engine platform is chosen and the participants are given specific rules to follow when building but within those requirements, it’s up to each builder to use his or her skills to come up with the best parts combinations. This year’s engine combination will feature a production cast-iron B- or RB-block. Eight engine builder teams will use the official 2011 AMSOIL Mopar Muscle Engine Challenge rules to develop, build and bring their finished engine combinations to the 2011 Mopar Nationals in Columbus, OH, where they will be on display. The engines will then be delivered to the COMP Cams® engine-dyno facility for testing. Each engine will be run on the same Rockett Brand 93-octane fuel while on the dyno. Mopar Muscle Magazine will then give each engine an overall rating based on a score of peak horsepower divided by cubic inches. The Mopar Muscle Engine Challenge is an opportunity for engine builders to expose their capabilities to thousands of Mopar enthusiasts. As the industry leader in cutting-edge valve train technology, COMP Cams® is proud to help host the competition for the seventh year in a row. Visit www.moparmusclemagazine.com for more information.
